Join the Race for Rights in York and help us deliver our life-changing programmes in East and West Africa.

We're offering 10 places for the York 10k on the 7th August and two places in the Yorkshire Marathon on the 8th October, and we want you to join us.

By running - and fundraising - for us, you’ll be supporting people with disabilities, children and young people, and women to access their fundamental human rights. For some, it's the right to participate in their communities; for others it's the right to an education.

For entrepreneur Idrissu Fati from Jadori-Kukuo in Ghana, it was the right to earn a fair living from her business. Working with InternationalService partner organisation Non-Formal Education Division (NFED), Idrissu developed the marketing skills she needs to grow her income. Now a member of a co-operative, Idrissu hopes to apply for credit loans to grow her business further.

Your fundraising will allow us to keep supporting partners like NFED to unlock the potential of women like Idrissu across Ghana, Burkina Faso and Malawi.

In return, you'll receive dedicated fundraising support, as well as an International Service tshirt of your own. What's more, you'll be joining a team of like-minded supporters, who enter the race every year.

Joining us for either race is easy. Just email us to apply.
