Volunteer in Malawi

As an ICS volunteer in Malawi you can lead change in one of the world’s least developed countries.

In Malawi, International Service works to ensure children recieve an education and that people with disabilities are empowered to take a full role in their community.

Malawi; Children and Young People

Centre for Youth Empowerment and Civic Education (CYECE) promotes children's rights, young empowerment, and sexual reproductive health rights. Working with schools, teachers and community groups, CYECE enables marginalised children to re-enter the education system and fulfill their potential. International Service volunteers build the capacity of schools and communities to support children's rights to education. Volunteers also deliver awareness-raising sessions on children's rights, and promote the work of CYECE in the community.

Malawi; Children and Young People

With over 20 years’ experience, YONECO promotes the rights of young people in several districts in Malawi. Through peer education, awareness-raising and training, YONECO aims to empower young people to care for themselves, and for their environment.  International Service volunteers organise counselling and life skills sessions, manage youth drop in centres, and help train communities and parents to support young people.
